St Andrews Primary School is a non-denominational school with a role of 355. This comprises of 282 primary pupils and 73 nursery pupils. Our Early Learning and Childcare Centre (ELCC) provides a provision for eligible 2 year olds and for 3 -5 year olds for the Fraserburgh Cluster.
The school serves the Fraserburgh catchment area and is part of the Fraseburgh CSN. We are a split site school with the Main building which holds P1-7 and a separate Annexe building which holds the Nursery. Our Infant building is currently being renovated and is due to be complete in August 2026. From August 2026, the newly renovated Infant building will hold the Nursery and Primary 1 and the Main building will hold P2-7.
We currently have 11 primary classes with a mixture of straight and composite classes.
We have pupils from a wide range of backgrounds and cultures, our EAL pupils and also pupils from SIMD deciles 1-10 in our school.
Our ELCC provides 1140 hours and is open 50 weeks a year.
The staff form a cohesive, supportive and effective team which aims to deliver high quality education.
Community Links are a valued part of school life and the children are making use of the local environment as part of their curriculum.
The school has a supportive Parent Council which encourages involvement of parents in the life and work of the school. Through the Pupil Council, pupils are involved in the work of the school and its improvement. Pupil Voice Groups and House Captains are developing leadership roles of pupils in our school.
